Overnight Catenary Wire Relocation Continues For Chestnut Hill East Station

As part of the ongoing Chestnut Hill East Station Reconstruction Project, SEPTA’s wire train along with personnel from SEPTA’s Power Department will be on site overnight on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the remainder of March to relocate catenary wires from the existing structures to the new ones. Note: Weather and other unforeseen circumstances have prevented crews from completing this work.

Since this work must be scheduled when trains are not arriving or departing from the station, nearby neighbors can expect some level of construction noise, including the wire train’s diesel engine and flood lighting that will be required to perform the scope of work.
